Frame-by-Frame Animation: CLIP STUDIO PAINT EX or Moho/Anime Studio Debut?
TL;DR 1: Does Studio Paint EX's animation capabilities include sound? (eg to check the lipsync while animating music videos) 2: If you weren't using the animation/3d side of things, how much of an improvement to the general drawing/painting experience is EX over Pro?
More detail Hi there, been mulling this over for a while but I'm not going to be able to make a decision really unless I get more experienced input, the sale is almost over, and I won't have time over the next few months to use a trial version to see if I'd rather upgrade to EX or go with the Debut version of Moho/Anime Studio for what I need, because at the moment they're a comparable price.
I currently have PAINT Pro, and love it. I've been wanting to get back into animating for a while, so when I heard that a (pretty heavily discounted) upgrade to PAINT incorporated animation aspects, I was really interested.
Clip Studio Paint Ex Free Download
I know that the animation features in EX are extremely limited compared to Moho (being an actual animation program and all), and that you can only do frame-by-frame/single cell in EX. Thing is, I'm totally ok with that, never been a fan of tweening, bones, etc.. much prefer to do mine by hand anyway. In fact, probably MOST of the tools that Moho tout would be useless to me. Thing is, I primarily animate music videos, so being able to import a sound file into the animation timeline and have it play alongside the animation cells (to check lip synch, etc.) is kind of a must-have. I couldn't find whether this was possible by looking at the product info (unless I'm dumb and totally missed it), does anyone know if STUDIO PAINT EX has any sound capabilities at all? For those who have used both, are the drawing tools of Moho comparable to the drawing tools of Studio Paint Pro?
As an aside, other than the ability to work on multiple pages within the same project and the animation capabilities (assuming I was to go with Moho for the animation side of things), is there much to the single image/drawing/painting side of EX that makes the upgrade to EX worth the price? Is the 'multiple pages in the same project' really that much of a benefit over just having multiple files open at once??
